Man Selling 6000+ Game Collection on eBay for $550,000

eBay collection
A man who has spent over 30 years collecting videogames has set up an auction for the whole collection for $550,000 on eBay.

The collection includes over 6580 games (with 6780 of those boxed), over 330 consoles (with 307 of those boxed), over 220 controllers (about 167 boxed), about 185 accessories and a large selection of videogame memorabilia such as plushies, action figures, strategies guides, promotional items etc. The joblot includes totally comprehensive libraries of Mario, Sonic, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Mega Man titles and more.

The seller made an extensive description of what was exactly included in the joblot with around 500 pictures posted on the auction page; at just over half a million dollars, I’d expect to be pretty well-informed as to what exactly I was getting, too.

I have almost no doubt that this will end up selling to some eccentric collector, even with only 7 days left of the auction. Whether this monstrosity of a collection will go to a private collection or to build some sort of videogame museum, whoever it ends up going to is one lucky bro.

Check out some of the more interesting pictures from the auction below, then check out the auction itself here.
