Apple and Google Seemingly Releasing Official Game Controllers

Apple and GoogleHaving been rumoured by many for a long time, it seems that this week’s GDC event has given us confirmation that Apple will be releasing an official game controller some time in the near future.

With Apple apparently actively talking to developers at the GDC on its plans regarding game support for the joypad, it seems that Apple have seemingly gone under a pseudonym as to avoid too much unwanted attention; if this is indeed legitimate as expected, Apple will likely announce the dedicated controller during their annual press event in April.

With very little details of the gamepad’s usage, compatibility, look or release plans, it wouldn’t be a shock if it was announced alongside the Apple TV set in order to combat the next-generation of home consoles itself.

To top things off, there’s also good reason to believe that Google are prepping for their own game controller announcement — however, take all of this news with a pinch of salt until the respective companies actually formally announce anything.
