The diversity of the PlayStation 4’s launch window is something that strikes me as nothing short of amazing and it’s something that I feel mainstream gaming has been largely ignoring as of late. Another thing mainstream game has ignored for too long? Dinosaurs.
Dinosaurs are awesome and this last generation of gaming has left me bitterly disappointed as to the lack of our giant predator friends, so it came to my great pleasure to learn that Primal Carnage: Genesis — sequel to PC multiplayer deathmatch game Primal Carnage — would be coming to the PlayStation 4 in episodic titles with single-player campaign modes, with its first episode aiming to be a launch title. Aiming to ‘make the absolute best single player dinosaur game that the world has been waiting for’, I am personally incredibly hyped for the game, if not just because the last great dinosaur game I played was Dino Crisis 2 and we’re certainly not going to be seeing any more of that.
With a reveal trailer already publicly viewable as of a few days ago, this second reveal trailer was recently shown at GDC in order to showcase Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 and how they’re aiming to service indie developers more efficiently. Check it out above and we’ll be sure to keep you posted on any news.
