Assuming the role of a toaster named TERRY (toast-ejecting recoil & reload system), you bounce around and fire at incoming enemies with your bread-based weapons in an effort to protect your clock over 45 levels. If the clock’s destroyed, then that’s the end of toast time and Monday morning will be ruined and that’d be bloody awful, wouldn’t it?
Assisted by its lovely soundtrack and strong sense of humour, the game is immediately striking and attractive. Like, if this game were a person, I think I’d sleep with it; the neon bright graphics are reminiscent of Arkedo Studio’s Pixel and totally brimming with charm – and God knows that I love charm. The game works perfectly for mobile devices and never feels boring, thanks to its very natural flow of progression, achievement system and new elements being introduced as appropriate intervals during the game.
It’s one of those fantastic pick-up-and-go kind of games like Angry Birds, Ridiculous Fishing and Super Crate Box and is absolutely worth the small cost for its charm and hours of enjoyment alone. If you want to pick it up, you can search for it on the Google Play Store (or just click here.)
