It seems that Rockstar really want to make it up to Grand Theft Auto fans for the lack of updates as-of-late, with them today announced that PSP titles (later released as PS2 titles) Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories will be re-released for $9.99 (£7.99) each on the PlayStation Network as PlayStation 2 Classics next week.
Both games are great titles in the series and it’s a blessing to see them coming to a home console. It’s definitely Rockstar’s intention to keep Grand Theft Auto fresh in your mind before the release of Grand Theft Auto V — a marketing strategy that in itself earns money and keeps fans happy? You geniuses, you.
(Rockstar also tell us to stay tuned for more upcoming PlayStation 2 Classics, which we’ll keep you posted on.)
